Tim Vicary is a university teacher at the Norwegian StudyCentre at the university of York, England. In addition to the threecrime and legal thrillers in 'The Trials of Sarah Newby' series, hehas written historical novels, children's books, and about twentygraded readers for foreign learners of English in the OxfordBookworms series, published by Oxford University Press. In 2010 oneof these, Titanic, was the winner in its category for the LanguageLearner Literature Award for the Extensive Reading Foundation, andanother one, The Everest Story, is a finalist this year.
　　Tim lives in the English countryside, near York. When he's notwriting he likes horse-riding, cycling, and swimming. Over the pastyear, perhaps because he's become a grandfather, he has becomefascinated by, amongst other things, dinosaurs, and an OUP bookabout Dinosaurs will come out later this year.
