本書為《當代世界與中國》的英文版。當代世界是開放的世界，中國的發(fā)展離不開世界，世界的發(fā)展也離不開中國。本書從全球視野出發(fā)，將當代中國的發(fā)展置于世界發(fā)展全局中予以考察，詮釋了世界各國與中國是緊密聯(lián)系、相互依存、互為機遇的人類命運共同體。本書依托當代中國發(fā)展的生動實踐，立足五千年中華文明，分別從經濟、政治、文化、社會、生態(tài)、科技、和平發(fā)展等七個維度，通過中外比較與互動，闡明了中國始終是世界和平的建設者、全球發(fā)展的貢獻者、國際秩序的維護者，深度體現(xiàn)了中國在與世界互聯(lián)互動中的天下胸懷和大國情懷。
本書可作為高等院校港澳臺僑學生及外國留學生通識教育課程教材，也可作為廣大讀者了解當代世情與中國國情的通俗性讀本和參考用書。
主編：曹文宏，華僑大學教授、博士生導師、馬克思主義學院副院長。主要社會兼職有國家社科基金項目評審、鑒定專家，教育部學位與研究生教育發(fā)展中心評審專家，福建省大中小思政課一體化建設指導委員會委員等。長期從事高校研究生、本科生馬克思主義理論以及境外生通識教育的教學與研究工作。
譯者：陳文革，博士，華僑大學外國語學院教授、博士生導師。主要從事話語分析與功能語言學、詞典學與語言政策等研究。在《外語與外語教學》、《當代傳播》等國內CSSCI檢索期刊等SSCI和A&HCI雙檢索期刊上發(fā)表論文20余篇，在國際期刊發(fā)表一系列詞典話語研究論文，出版中文專著1部，在國際上首次較為系統(tǒng)地提出批評詞典話語研究模式。主持2項國家社科基金項目，主持并完成2項省部級科研課題。擔任國內外多家學術期刊審稿人。
