精彩文摘 Test 8 教育對兒童成長的重要性 參考答案 Part 1 自我介紹(Self-introduction) (略) 簡短問答(Question and Answer) Candidate A: Yes, I really like the primary school I went to. The campus was very big and there was a playground for us to do sports and hang out with classmates. The teachers were very nice to me and the classmates were friendly. Most importantly, I didn’t have much homework to do, so I can watch TV every day after finishing my homework. Candidate B: Well, to be honest, I didn’t like my primary school very much. The biggest complaint I have about it is that it was too far away from my home. My parents couldn’t drive me there every day and there wasn’t a direct bus route from my home to there. I had to walk about thirty minutes to go to school. I always felt tired after the long walk. Part 2 個(gè)人陳述(Presentation) Candidate A: School is extremely important to one’s education. A person spends most of his/her childhood and youth in schools. School plays a decisive role in shaping one’s personality and view of the world. I learnt many important things in schools, such as knowledge about different subjects, logic and languages. The most important two things I learnt, however, are not exact knowledge about any subjects. They are honesty and friendship. To begin with, schools have taught me the importance of being an honest person. It is natural for children to hide some unpleasant facts or cover up troubles. For example, telling lies that one has completed homework is common among primary school students. I remember that my teachers in primary school kept telling us that lying is worse than not finishing homework, so one should be honest about his/her mistakes. The lesson about honesty has accompanied me all the time. The second important thing I learnt is about friendship. I made friends with many of my classmates. As we share common background and experience, I find it easy to understand them and to be understood. I still keep constant contact with some of my primary school classmates. Our friendships have become an invaluable asset to me now. Candidate B: I think education from the school and parents are equally important for the healthy development of children. On one hand, children can learn knowledge about different subjects in schools from teachers that specialize in different subjects. Therefore, they can receive in-depth insights into various subjects. In addition, teachers are professionals in the field of education. They thus will research teaching methods and students’ learning curves, making the education in schools more efficient. On the other hand, parents can teach children about morality, ethics and life values. Such things are difficult to be expressed in languages that can be easily understood by children. Therefore, parents have advantages in teaching children these aspects as the education of parents does not only come in the form of direct teaching but also the parents’ actions and ways of doing things. Therefore, I think the education from the school and parents are complementary and indispensable for children’s development. Nowadays many parents neglect the important role played by them in education. I think it is time for everyone to realize this and find a way to better combine the education from the two sources. 必背表達(dá) hang out with sb. 與某人閑逛 play a decisive role 起決定性作用 hide unpleasant fact 隱藏不愉快的事實(shí) share common background and experience有共同的背景和經(jīng)驗(yàn) keep constant contact with sb. 經(jīng)常與某人保持聯(lián)系 be equally important 同等重要 specialize in 專攻 receive in-depth insights into 獲得對……的深入見解 learning curve 學(xué)習(xí)曲線 come in the form of... 以……形式出現(xiàn) under discussion 正在討論,被討論 a golden age for ……的黃金時(shí)代 go far towards... 大有助于…… 1.
