《大學體驗英語》系列教材之《聽說教程》(第三版)1~4冊在保留了第二版教材的編寫理念、編寫框架和編寫理念、編寫框架和編寫特色的基礎(chǔ)上,為適應多模態(tài)語言輸入和英語視聽技能訓練的要求,豐富在相同主題下的語言表達方式和內(nèi)容,提高學習過程中的趣味性和針對性,在各個單元中增添了“視”的內(nèi)容。
《“十二五”普通高等教育本科國家級規(guī)劃教材:大學體驗英語聽說教程4(教學參考書?第3版)》主要特點:
1.注重實用表達能力的培養(yǎng),在語言基礎(chǔ)訓練中加大聽力和口語的學習內(nèi)容,加強實用閱讀、實用會話、實用寫作的訓練,培養(yǎng)學習者英語綜合運用能力和在涉外交際中的實用表達能力。
2.注重教材的可操練性:選文短小精悍,生動有趣,便于聽、說、讀、寫、譯的訓練;練習設(shè)計層層深入,通過訓練達到學懂、會用的教學目的。
3.強調(diào)以人為本,突出“個性化”學習:注重課堂教學與課外自主學習相結(jié)合,注重學習者在整個學習過程中自主學習的引導,強調(diào)學習者在體驗語言的立體化環(huán)境中獲得語言知識。
4.重視文化知識的學習,培養(yǎng)“跨文化意識”:提供大量真實的圖片、富有時代感的文字材料以及英語國家豐富的文化背景,開拓學習者的視野。
5.立體化教材為英語學習提供全方位服務:文字版、網(wǎng)絡版、電子教案以及多媒體學習課件等提供了立體、互動的英語學習環(huán)境。
《大學體驗英語》自2002年出版以來,經(jīng)歷了創(chuàng)新開拓、融入教學、收獲體驗的10年歷程,從“十五”到“十一五”再到“十二五”,已經(jīng)成為中國大學英語學習和教學的主流教材。伴隨著學生英語學習的成功、教師職業(yè)的發(fā)展,“體驗式英語教學”已經(jīng)成為當代中國英語教學思想和方法的重要代表!洞髮W體驗英語》提倡把英語作為人生體驗去教、去學、去使用,而不只是作為純粹的知識來教、來學,這不僅更加契合“90后”大學生的英語水平和對語言的認知特點,也滿足了國家對培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新型人才的切實要求。
圍繞貫徹《國家中長期教育改革和發(fā)展規(guī)劃綱要(2010-2020年)》,全面提升教學質(zhì)量,培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新型人才,教育部即將推出新一輪的大學英語教學改革。面對新的改革形勢,我們啟動了《大學體驗英語》(第三版)的修訂工作。修訂的主要目標是在堅持英語學習工具性的同時,更好地突出人文性、強化素質(zhì)教育;在加強聽說、加強表達、加強實用的基礎(chǔ)上,進一步提升大學生的英語語言能力、跨文化交流能力,強化英語綜合應用能力的培養(yǎng);完善和體現(xiàn)新的教學思想,倡導以“體驗”為核心的啟發(fā)式、參與式等教學方法,幫助學生通過“參與、愉晚、共鳴”的過程,獲得外語學習的良性體驗,引領(lǐng)中國大學英語課堂教學模式的改革。

Mrs. White: What do you think is the most sensible choice for a woman in this new century? Should she return to being a housewife or combine career and family?
Daisy: I think it is rewarding for a woman to have her own career or something else to do outside the home. Nowadays, many women are highly educated and they have enormous earning potential.
Mrs. White: I think "being a full-time housewife" is a wise choice in this competitive world. After all, there is an increasing need for one parent to hold down the fort and take care of the kids.
Daisy: Nowadays, many women are as capable as men. Why should they, instead of their husbands, quit their career for family?
Mrs. White: In fact young women today are increasingly putting their personal happiness before a big salary or high-powered career. Many women even prefer to be called "home managers".
Daisy: Of course there is nothing new about women giving up their careers to look after children, but dropping out of the workforce means a progressive reduction in work experience, perhaps the loss of a promotion, so her social status falls. She will completely lose her identity.
Mrs. White: But children are young for such a very short time, careers can wait. Once the child has grown up, that time can never be returned. And for a mother, I think, watching her children grow up is the greatest pleasure ever in the world. It's understandable that women crave a work-life balance. Anyway, the age of the "superwoman", who wants to be the world's best mother, wife and boss, is dead.
